Alert Informational Series to be Produced
Galain Solutions has announced plans to produce an informational series to provide guidance to public safety organizations. Galain President Rick Wimberly said, “One of the biggest frustrations I’ve experienced in the alert and warning industry is realizing that although a client may have good technology in place, their alerting initiative was failing because of implementation issues.” Wimberly said his company hopes the informational series will help.
Galain is conducting an online survey of public safety officials and industry personnel to determine topics to cover through the informational series. Among the general topics Galain is considering are: managing the different alerting channels available, engaging the public in alerting initiatives, and working with national alerting initiatives. “The survey results will help us know precisely which topics would be more beneficial,” said Wimberly.
The online survey can be found at http://galaintopicssurvey.questionpro.com. Public safety officials and those involved in the alert, warning and mass notification industry are encouraged to participate. The informational series will be made available at no charge.
